Scotland was also named the most beautiful countries on earth!

Glencoe is everything you can envisage in a Scottish landscape, stunning mountain vistas, rivers and waterfalls and beautiful majestic trees. Located close to both Edinburgh and Glasgow it is easy to get to. It can get quite busy during summer time with tourists but I have located places that are often less visited to host your elopement ceremony away from the tourists.
Glen Etive Elopement
Just a short car trip is the towering and unbelievably beautiful Glen Etive, a road just off from Glencoe a short drive will take you down miles of road you can follow the driving route along the River Etive running alongside. You may recognise this from the James Bond Film ‘Skyfall’ and some scenes were used for the film ‘Braveheart’. There are many places you can pull up and get some incredible views, it stands as a personal favourite location of mine for a Scottish elopement film.
Cairngorms National Park Elopement
Offering a wide variety of diverse locations to potentially feature an elopement, the Cairngorms National Park is as rugged as you are likely to find in Scotland. One of my favourite locations in the Cairngorms is Loch an Eilein an amazing place set in the backdrop of the Caledonian pine forests. Locations like Torridon are a delight as they are far less frequented than many others even on this list, but provide a stunning choice of place to feature your scotland adventure elopement in.
Eilean Donan Castle Elopement
Not far form Skye is Eilean Donan, a castle famous for being in multiple film and TV productions. The castle has been recently renovated but still retains it’s stunning ancient origins, it is one of the most romantic and beautiful places to feature an elopement. You can walk the bridge and have your ceremony in the beautiful rooms then explore the grounds for some epic moments between one another.
The Quiraing Elopement
The Isle of Skye is a stunning part of Scotland, it never fails to impress on each visit. The Quairaing is one of the few most iconic places to feature your elopement in any weather at any time the year. Skye and the Quairaing is around 3 hours from Fort William and Glencoe which is worth a visit anyway even if you’re not eloping there. It is easy to find and even has a handy car park just out of sight, so if you find it a little windy you can easily dive back into the car and warm up!
Fairy Glen Elopement
A short drive away from the Quiraing is the Fairy Glen a Quiraing-like landslip in miniature. The whimsical otherworldly landscape has a magical fairy tale feeling all of it’s own, formed by a similar landslip that formed the Quiraing. This is a wondrous place to elope it has stunning views and mystical, otherworldly backdrops from every angle. The stone circles are also a noteworthy aspect to this location and stand as a place of really natural beauty for your elopement video.
Old Man of Storr Elopement
Another short drive is the iconic Old Man of Storr, one of the most photographed landscapes in the world. There is a little bit of a walk from the car park but, wow is it worth it! Once you arrive at the summit you are greeted with the stunning stone structures which provide multiple angles of total awe and for any elopement film it is absolutely perfect
Neist Point Elopement
This clifftop location compete with amazing and beautiful lighthouse perched at one end is a fairy tale location to feature any part of your elopement film. It boasts beautiful views of the sea, cliffs and the sunsets here are unreal!
Loch Coruisk Elopement
Loch Coruisk is reputed to be the home of a kelpie or water horse, a shape-shifting creature that can assume human form, it is also an incredible place for an elopement ceremony. Similar to Neist Point it is however a far more rugged view with it’s cliff-top seascape vistas. Just a short and very picturesque boat ride puts you in a magical location, it is a stunning elopement choice.
If a city filled with rich, historic culture is more your thing then look no further than Edinburgh. Beautiful buildings, parks and the sounds of bagpipers in the streets, it really is a perfect city to feature your elopement in.
